About Me
Vafa Adib is a musician, composer, photographer and educator based in Calgary, Canada. He is the founder of the Rohub Music Ensemble and a seasonal instructor at the University of Calgary's School of Creative and Performing Arts, where he leads the
undergraduate World Music Ensemble course. Active since 1985, Adib specializes in Persian classical music and playes santur (Santour) and tonbak.
Adib's discography includes Sound of East, Nocturnal Whispers, and Majnoun, all available on Apple Music and Spotify. He is also the author of two photobooks: Iran, A Quick Look and Rocky
Mountains. Through his performances, teaching, and publications, Adib has made significant contributions to the global appreciation of Persian music and culture
